Last week during our quarterly training session our sales manager Charlotte advised me that our chip of the month the FT3042 device replaces a Xilinx part that went obsolete the year after she was born !! Well, apart from making me feel old it did take me back to the good old days.
Starting a company is like giving birth to a child, watching them take their first steps, helping them find the right path in life, guiding them through the tricky growing stage of adolescence and being filled with pride when they achieve all that you hoped for.
Yesterday I was asked how long our senior staff had been working for Force and I proudly said between 16 and 18 years. I’ve seen them grow up before my eyes, watched them work hard and play hard as 20 somethings and become parents in their 30s. In the past 5 years we’ve had 6 babies born into the Force family.
I am extremely proud of the young people they have become and what a tight-knit team we are. Always striving to support each other and get the best job done not only for customers but for the company and their future as well. They’ve faced industry challenges and personal challenges and are still keen to learn and improve.
As we begin our 37th year in business on Monday I see amongst them the future directors and even the Managing Director of Force Technologies and I say to myself – I’ve done a good job with them and for our loyal customers and friends in the industry. So here’s to the next 10 years Happy Birthday to us.
